Beauticians scale new heights

Two beauticians from Oswestry went to extraordinary heights to raise funds for children’s charity Hope House.

Katie O’Hara and Anne-Marie Parkes-Owen of Butterfly Beautique climbed the 1,085m, which covered 16 miles, to summit Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales. They were joined by other businesses from the Old Chapel Court area of the town on English Walls.

Katie commented: “Walking up Snowdon was a massive physical and mental challenge for us both. It’s the first time either of us have climbed Snowdon and it was very exhilarating to make it to the top. Knowing we were raising money for Hope House was a great motivator.”
